Govinda issues statement post accidental gunshot

Govinda was rushed to Criticare Hospital in Juhu for an emergency surgery after he accidentally shot himself with his licensed revolver.
The actor recently shared an official statement, noting that “he was shot but now the bullet has been removed.” In an audio message shared with the media by Shiv Sena leader Krishna Hegde, Govinda thanked his fans for their support during the difficult time. He said, “Namaste, pranam. I am Govinda. Due to your blessings, my parents’ blessings, and the grace of my guru… I was shot, but the bullet has been removed. I thank the doctors here, especially Dr Agarwal ji. I thank all of you for your prayers and support.”
According to his manager, his licensed revolver accidentally fell to the ground from his almirah, causing a bullet to discharge.
