EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK: The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power S2 finale

The dark and eventful second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is heading towards its final episode. After the cliffhanger ending of Episode 7, the season finale is expected to feature an epic showdown in Middle-earth. As war continues to rage in Eregion, several character pieces and arcs will tie in for a grand culmination. We at Filmfare have gotten our hands on some exclusive footage from Episode 8.

Flames and smoke engulf the opening shot of the sneak peek. As Adar’s attacks ravage Eregion, we see an armour-clad Galadriel (played by Morfydd Clark) leading some elves to safety. She slays a bunch of orcs along the way.

It ends with an overview of just how large the scale of the destruction is.

The Elves, Dwarves, Orcs and Wizards (?) are about to come together for the season finale. While the episode has many burning questions to answer, we do know that it’s going to be an exposition-filled yet emotional ride.

The finale of The Rings of Power Season 2 will release on October 3, 2024.
