The 70th National Film Awards took place at the Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi with President Droupadi Murmu felicitating the deserving people of the Indian Film industry.
Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty was conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contribution to Indian cinema. Music maestro AR Rahman was felicitated with the Best Music Direction Award for the film Ponniyin Selvan Part 1.
The Best Feature Film Award went to Malayalam film Aatam, while Rishab Shetty won the Best Actor Award for Kantara. It was a star-studded event with several celebrities such as Manoj Bajpayee, Nithya Menen, Manasi Parekh, Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji among others in attendance.
Several photos and videos went viral from the award ceremony capturing its essence. Ayan, whose film Brahmastra won big at the ceremony, was seen watching the film on his phone while the awards were being handed out.
