Jasleen Royal Becomes The First Indian Artist To Open For Coldplay On Their India Tour

With just one week to go for Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres India tour, there is some exciting news. Singer Jasleen Royal will be opening for the British rock band, becoming the first Indian artist to do so.

On Saturday, the singer shared a series of pictures on her Instagram, offering a sneak peek of her preparations for the upcoming musical extravaganza. The caption of thepost read, “Life lately. Sing, sleep, cuddle, Repeat. One week to go for the Coldplay – Music of the Spheres India Tour.”

This big news got her a lot of love from her fans in the comments section, as they flocked to congratulate her for this huge feat.

Jasleen Royal’s claim to fame was with songs like Heeriye Heeriye, Din Shagna Da, Nit Nit, Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan and more.

Coldplay is all set to perform at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21, 2025, with two more two shows in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26.

After the overwhelming demand for Coldplay’s show tickets, the ticketing platform BookMyShow released some additional tickets which went live on Saturday at 4:00 pm. 

Meanwhile, the Ahmedabad shows of the rock band got a notice from local authorities. A notice was sent to Chris Martin, mentioning that children must not be involved on stage or allowed into the venue without proper hearing protection, and that sound levels must not exceed 120 decibels.
