Jisoo shines in the new zombie thriller Newtopia

Jisoo from BLACKPINK is gearing up for her new series Newtopia, directed by Yoon Sung-hyun. Although she impressed fans in Snowdrop, the director admitted he was initially worried since she hadn’t taken on any acting roles since 2021. However, his concerns vanished after seeing her dedication.

Speaking at a press conference, Yoon shared that Jisoo’s commitment made things easy. She spent four days a week preparing by reading scripts and showed up fully ready when filming began. He praised her professionalism, saying he was lucky to work with her.

What stood out to the director was Jisoo’s natural sense of humour, which fit her character perfectly. He assured viewers that they would come to realize no one else could have played the role better. Her positive attitude during physically demanding action scenes also won his admiration.
