Legendary actress Pushpalatha passes away at 87
1 min readShe made her debut in Tamil cinema with Senkkottai Singam in 1958 and entered Malayalam films in 1969 with Nurse. Some of her most memorable roles were in films like Sarada, Kalyanaraman, and Sakalakala Vallavan, where she worked alongside stars like M.G. Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, and Kamal Haasan.
Pushpalatha was also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and even tried her hand at film production. She married actor and producer AVM Rajan after meeting him on the sets of Naanum Oru Penn, and they had two daughters, including actress Mahalakshmi.
In her later years, Pushpalatha withdrew from the limelight, devoting herself to spirituality and social causes.
