Sanam Teri Kasam surpasses Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in re-release collection

If someone had told you back in 2016 that Sanam Teri Kasam would be breaking records in 2025, it would have sounded a bit far-fetched. But today, this romantic saga is making history in theatres. The film’s re-release saw a massive 1,57,000 ticket bookings on its first Saturday, beating Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and securing the second spot for highest re-release ticket sales.

Sanam Teri Kasam has already surpassed its lifetime box office collection in just three days. According to reports, the film earned a whopping Rs 9.50 crore after Day 2, compared to a haul of just Rs 4.66 crore, which it had managed during its first weekend 9 years ago.

The film stars Harshvardhan Rane as Inder, a rebellious young man, and Mawra Hocane as Saraswati Saru, a timid librarian who finds love and transformation through their unlikely connection.
