B Praak slams Ranveer Allahbadia over Indiaâs Got Latent controversy

Ranveer Allahbadia, known by his moniker BeerBiceps, is getting backlash for his distasteful comments on a recent episode of India’s Got Latent. The YouTuber and podcaster sparked controversy with a crass joke on the show where he was joined by Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Mukhija aka The Rebel Kid and more. Now, singer B Praak has called him out.

B Praak took to his social media handle to share a message through a video. In the video, he slammed Ranveer Allahbadia saying, “I was supposed to appear on a podcast, on Beer Biceps, and we cancelled that. Why? Since we are all seeing how pathetic his thinking is. The choice of words that he has used on Samay Raina’s show.”

He went on to say, “Ye hamara Indian culture nahi hai. Ye hamara culture hi nahi hai. Aap apne parents ke kaun si story bata rahe ho? Aap uski kaun si baatein kar rahe ho? Ye comedy hai? This is not at all comedy. Logo ko gaaliyan dena, logon ko gaaliyan sikhana, ye kaun si generation… mere ko samajh hi nahi aa raha.”

Ranveer posted an apology for his joke. In his video post on X, he shared, “I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s got latent. I’m sorry. My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you have asked if this is how I want to use my platform. Obviously this is not how I wish to use it.”

He further added, “I am not here to give any context, justification or reasoning whatever happened. I am just here for an apology. I personally had a lapse in judgment, it wasn’t cool on my part. The podcast is watched by people of all ages. Don’t want to be the kind of person that takes that responsibility lightly.
