Paresh Rawal has spilled the beans on Kartik Aaryan’s involvement with Hera Pheri 3. During an exclusive interview with Siddharth Kanan, the actor noted that Kartik was initially signed for the film. But was he signed to play Akshay Kumar’s Raju? Paresh clarified that the story then was different.
Upon asking about Kartik’s involvement, Paresh Rawal confirmed that the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actor is not a part of the project anymore as the story completely changed.
Rawal also shared his take on Phir Hera Pheri’s mild success. Noting that it did not became as huge a hit as its predecessor, he said that everyone became too overconfident about themselves. According to him, the movie lost its innocence and had too many elements stuffed. “Sorry to say but voh film nahi bani thi bara bar. I would tell Neeraj, tu bhar raha hai ismein, voh zarori nahi hai yaar (The film wasn’t made properly. you’re overstuffing this film with sequences, it’s not needed). I asked him to keep the same simplicity that the first part had. Zayada bharega toh mamla bigadega hi. Log toh har baat par hasenge ( It will get messy if you overstuff the film. People will laugh at everything). They’ll laugh even if they saw someone running naked but we don’t have to run naked. You should have sense of proportion,” the actor added.
While talks about Hera Pheri 3 are still on, Paresh Rawal has an exciting lineup of films that have been announced. He is starring with Akshay Kumar and Tabu in Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla.
