Sandeep Reddy Vanga is opening up about Animal’s success. While the movie received mixed reactions from the audience, it performed well at the box office. Some scenes from the movie were spoken about at length, including Ranbir Kapoor’s nude walking scene. During an interview with Komal Nahta, Vanga spoke about Kapoor’s supportive nature as the actor encouraged the director to tell him what he wanted out of that scene.

Vanga noted that they were preparing to put prosthetics initially for the thighs and the lower part of the body. It came perfect during the test shoot. However, the idea didn’t come across well when they were actually shooting the scene. “In fact, we planned to shoot the scene in full focus and use props to cover the groin as he walked. However, due to the prosthetics not working properly, I just said we will shoot the scene out of focus,” he added.

The Kabir Singh director thanked Ranbir for not getting irritated due to several changes during that shoot. He said, “Ranbir just said okay immediately. There was no discussion. It was a ten-minute conversation where I said shooting it in out-of-focus would make things more spooky and curious. And he was ready.”

Praising Kapoor, he also noted that a comfortable bond with an actor and a director makes filming easier. While the director hasn’t opened up about the sequel to Animal, fans are eagerly waiting for Animal Park to be released. While speaking to Deadline, Ranbir had said, “The director is making another film right now we should start that film 2027… I think he (Sandeep Reddy Vanga) just kind of flirted with what he really wants to do with the movie. He wants to make it over three parts the second part is called Animal Park.”
