After impressing the audience in Reema Kagti’s Superboys of Malegaon, actor Adarsh Gourav is now set to make his Tollywood debut. Known for his versatile performances across Hollywood and Bollywood, the actor will be seen in a Telugu psychological horror film, making his debut in the South industry. The project is being spearheaded by Jahnavi, who is the daughter of renowned producer D.V.V. Danayya, best known for producing the global blockbuster RRR. The yet untitled film is being directed by Baba Shashank. Scheduled for release in 2025, the film promises to push creative boundaries and bring a fresh cinematic experience to audiences.
Speaking about this exciting new chapter in his career, Adarsh shared, “I’ve always believed that great stories transcend language, and as an actor, my biggest thrill is to explore diverse narratives across industries. The South film industry has consistently delivered some of the most compelling and innovative films, and I’m excited to finally be a part of it. This project, in particular, is unlike anything I’ve ever done in the psychological horror genre, and it has a gripping story that immediately drew me in. Collaborating with a visionary team and making my Telugu debut with Jahnavi’s production is truly special. I can’t wait for audiences to see what we’re creating.”
With Bollywood stars increasingly expanding their horizons in South cinema, Adarsh’s entry into Tollywood further cements the industry’s growing cross-regional collaborations.
Meanwhile, he was most recently seen in Superboys of Malegaon along with Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, Riddhi Kumar, Muskkaan Jaferi and others. Directed by Reema Kagti and penned by Varun Grover, the film is inspired by the acclaimed documentary Supermen of Malegaon directed by Faiza Ahmed Khan. The film pays homage to the real-life dreamers of Malegaon who defied the odds to create their own brand of cinema.
Adarsh Gourav will also be seen in the upcoming science-fiction television series, Alien: Earth.
