Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar Undergoes Look Test For Ram Charanâs RC 16

Karunada Chakravarthy and Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar have been roped in for a pivotal role in the sports drama directed by Sana Buchi Babu. The filmmakers on Wednesday announced that they completed a look test for Shiva Rajkumar and the actor is expected to join the film sets soon. This is the first time Ram Charan and Shivanna are sharing screen.

The buzz surrounding Ram Charan’s upcoming film RC16 (tentatively titled) has just gotten bigger. Karunada Chakravarthy and Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar have been roped in for a pivotal role in the sports drama directed by Sana Buchi Babu.

The filmmakers on Wednesday announced that they completed a look test for Shiva Rajkumar and the actor is expected to join the film sets soon. The video showcases how Shiva Rajkumar is undergoing the changes for the look test whilst having conversations with the film’s director and make-up team. This is the first time Ram Charan and Shivanna are sharing screen space. Known for his magnanimous screen presence, Shivanna will bring his aura and majesty to his character in RC 16. Earlier, Shiva Rajkumar worked for the 2016 film Gautamiputra Satakarni, as narrator, but this will be the first time the Kannada star will be seen in a significant role in a Telugu film.

A source from the unit informs, “Shiva Rajkumar’s look will be intense and fierce. His role is surrounded with a lot of power and strength and as such, the director wanted the actor’s look to gel well with his character.”

RC 16 is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru of Vriddhi Cinemas in association with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. Filmmakers are considering the title Peddi. The film is set in Uttarandhra and being a sports drama, the director felt Peddi is an apt title.  Also, Peddi is reportedly said to have a thematic connection to the plotline.  RC 16 boasts a stellar cast, including Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, and Mirzapur actor Divyenndu. The film features music by AR Rahman and cinematography by Ratnavelu.
