When and where to watch Anora on OTT?
After its theatrical run, Anora is all set to arrive on JioHotstar on March 17. The film’s OTT release comes just a few weeks after the film’s Oscar success. In the meantime, Indian viewers can rent or purchase Anora on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+ and Zee5.
About Anora
Anora revolves around Anora “Ani” Mikheeva (played by Mikey Madison), a 23-year-old stripper living in Brighton Beach, and Ivan “Vanya” Zakharov (Mark Eydelshteyn), the son of a Russian billionaire. Their relationship begins as a business arrangement before turning into a whirlwind romance. However, once they’re married, Vanya’s parents intervene, creating challenges for their love story.

Anora’s Best Picture win comes as a huge win for the indie film industry given that it was made on a $6 million budget. Sean Baker won the Best Director award. The film also won in the Best Original Screenplay, Best Film Editing. Baker became the first director to win four Oscars for the same film on the same night at the Academy Awards.
During her winning speech, actress Mickey Madison shared, “This is very surreal. I grew up in Los Angeles, but Hollywood always felt so far away from me, so to be here, standing in this room today is really incredible.” She also shared, “I just want to recognise and honour the sex worker community.”
