2025 will see a fresh wave of talent entering the showbiz. From starkids coming under the spotlight to new faces debuting, we have promising people to look forward to. Aryan Khan, the son of megastar Shah Rukh Khan has chosen the path of direction, unlike his actor father, and will be helming a show providing insight into the film industry. Among the actors, we have Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani and Ajay Devgn’s nephew, Aaman Devgan. Here are the actors and filmmakers who will be debuting this year.
Aryan Khan

Shah Rukh Khan confirmed the long-anticipated debut of his son, Aryan Khan, in November 2024. Unlike his father, the youngster will not be taking the route of acting. Instead, he will be seen behind the camera, directing. His debut project, reportedly titled Stardom, will offer an insight into the lives of people in showbiz, a world that the starkid has closely seen growing up. Lakshya and Mona Singh are said to be playing key roles in the series amid star-studded cameos of Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol among others. The series will premiere on Netflix in 2025.

Rasha Thadani

The year 2025 will also mark the debut of Rasha Thadani, the youngest daughter of actress Raveena Tandon and Anil Thadani. Born in 2005, Rasha is set to shine on screen at the age of 19. Even before her debut, she enjoys a significant fan following on social media with her Instagram account boasting over 1 million followers. Rasha will be seen on the big screen in a period drama Azaad along with Ajay Devgn’s nephew, Aaman Devgan. The Abhishek Kapoor directorial will be released in January 2025.
Aaman Devgan

Alongside Rasha Thadani, Aaman Devgan also makes his debut with Azaad, slated to release in 2025. Aaman is the son of Ajay Devgn’s sister Neelam Devgan Gandhi. He comes from a family deeply rooted in the film industry and all eyes are on the youngster’s debut. Ajay Devgn will also have a significant part in the film. He praised his nephew and his dedication to his craft and said, “He is a very hardworking boy.” All eyes are on this film as it promises a significant launch for Aaman and Rasha.

Ibrahim Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan was seen briefly in his father’s 2008 film Tashan and also worked as an assistant director on Karan Johar’s Rocky and Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Now, he will be stepping into the spotlight with a thriller set in Kashmir. Reportedly titled Sarzameen, the film also stars Kajol and Prithviraj in key roles. But not just that, the star kid also has another OTT project in the pipeline titled Naadaniyaan with Khushi Kapoor. The film is helmed by Shauna Gautam, debutant director and produced by Dharma Productions. The release dates of these projects have not been officially announced.

Shanaya Kapoor

Shanaya Kapoor’s debut has been on the cards for a long time. Karan Johar’s Bedhadak was supposed to be the film launching her in showbiz, but it got shelved. Things slowed down for Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter when this Dharma film did not work out, but the star kid has finally found her launchpad – Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyaan alongside Vikrant Massey. As per the makers, the film is a “contemporary take on romance and ghosting.” She also has Mohanlal’s pan-India film Vrushabha in the pipeline.

Sky Force is directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur and bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films.

Rajkumari Hirani has given us gems like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Lage Raho Munna Bhai and 3 Idiots and it is now being said that his son Vir Hirani will be making his debut as an actor in the filmmaker’s next project. While details about the project remain under wraps, it is expected to carry Hirani’s signature style of humour, likely with a socially relevant storyline, similar to his previous films. Vir, who is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, already debuted as a theatre actor with the play Letters from Suresh where he delivered a 35-minute-long monologue. This will however not be a big-screen release but will premiere on OTT.
Shauna Gautam

Not just actors, 2025 will see the entry of new directors in the industry who will presumably bring in their fresh perspective. Shauna Gautam, who has worked as an associate director on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani will be directing Khushi Kapoor and debutant Ibrahim Ali Khan in Naadaniyaan. Gautam’s portfolio includes working as a trainee assistant director in One by Two and as a second-second assistant director in Sanju. Naadaniyaan is touted to be a rom-com.
