Aubrey Plaza Pays Tribute To Late Husband Jeff Baena

Aubrey Plaza made her first public appearance since her husband Jeff Baena’s passing at SNL’s 50th-anniversary special on Feb. 16. She introduced musical guests Miley Cyrus and Brittany Howard, wearing a black blazer and pants over a tie-dye shirt—an apparent tribute to Baena.
The tie-dye had special meaning, recalling Plaza’s 2021 reveal that she and Baena wore tie-dye pajamas for their spontaneous wedding. He had taken up tie-dyeing during quarantine, making it a sentimental choice.
Baena passed away by suicide on January 3 at 47. Plaza skipped the Golden Globes the next day but appeared in a Ritz Super Bowl ad, which was filmed before his death.
