Later, she went on to establish herself as a great comic actor with the Khichdi franchise and the show Idhar Udhar. However, she once again displayed her versatility as an actor with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela, where she played Dhankor Baa, a menacing matriarch. She also bagged a Filmfare Award for the same.
Winning the Black Lady for the Best Supporting Actor (Female) for Ram Leela in 2014, she had said, “Thank you Filmfare, thank you very much. This is really an honour. For my first film (Kalyug), I got a Filmfare award for Best Supporting Actress and now I get it after so many years and I am so happy I can’t tell you. I thank my master for this, I thank my family, my husband, and my children – they are the best in the world and I love this industry so much. I love being a part of this place and I hope that when I go, I go from here, from this stage.”
Supriya Pathak was last seen in the film Luv Ki Arrange Marriage.
