Laxman Utekar’s Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna was released theatrically on Valentine’s Day. Kaushal plays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the film and the actress plays Maharani Yesubai. Chhaava also stars Akshaye Khanna as the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
Chhaava’s Day 2 box office collection:
The film had an impressive first-day collection at the box office, and owing to the weekend, Chhaava earned well on its second day as well. As per Sacnilk.com, it collected approximately Rs 31 crore on its first day. On Day 2, it earned around Rs 36.5 crore, taking the India nett box office collection to Rs 67.5 crore. According to Sacnilk’s report, the film had an overall 50.39% Hindi occupancy
Chhaava vs Captain America: Brave New World
Meanwhile, Captain America: Brave New World, which was released on the same date as Chhaava is struggling to make an impact in the Indian markets. On its opening day, it earned Rs 4.3 crore approximately followed by Rs 4.15 crore on Day 2.
