Chhaava Box Office Day 5: Vicky Kaushals Film Crosses Rs 150 Crore Mark

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s Chhaava is soaring high at the Indian box office. The Laxman Utekar directorial was released theatrically on Valentine’s Day and witnessed a bumper opening. The period drama is based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
Chhaava’s Day 5 Box Office Collection
As per a report in Sacnilk.com, the film collected around Rs 25.25 crore on its 5th day. While it is a dip from its opening weekend collection, it is slightly better than what the film collected on its first Monday. With this, the Hindi net box office collection stands at Rs 165.75 crore, and the worldwide collection stands at 228.85 crore. Chhaava reportedly had an overall 32.52% Hindi occupancy on February 18.

Chhaava vs Captain America: Brave New World vs Loveyapa
Chhaava seems to have given tough competition to films that were released around the same time. Captain America: Brave New World which was released on the same day as Chhaava managed to earn Rs 14.55 crore in India but worldwide it has crossed the Rs 1500 crore mark. Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan’s Loveyapa on the other hand earned only Rs 7.12 crore in India as per Sacnilk.com.

Chhaava follows the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Confederacy and his battle with the Mughal Empire. Vicky Kaushal plays the titular character while Rashmika Mandanna plays Queen Yesubai. Actor Akshaye Khanna has essayed the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
