Chris Martin halts concert to protect fan during Ahmedabad show

The incident happened on January 26, during the band’s rendition of My Universe, when the crowd surged forward, putting the fan at risk. Chris immediately stopped singing, asking everyone to step back and make space. Once the fan was safe, he resumed the performance, earning cheers and appreciation from the massive audience of 1.34 lakh people.

The magical night became even more memorable when Chris noticed a couple in the crowd holding a banner with a special request. He invited them on stage, and together they performed Everglow, creating a beautiful, emotional moment that left the audience deeply moved. As a heartfelt tribute to India on Republic Day, Chris also performed Vande Mataram, which struck a chord with the crowd.
Coldplay’s Ahmedabad concert was part of their Music of the Spheres India tour, with shows held at the stadium on January 25 and 26. The tour began in Mumbai, where the band played at DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21.
