Director Madhura Pandit Jasraj passes away

Madhura Pandit Jasraj, wife of late Pandit Jasraj and daughter of V Shantaram has passed away at the age of 86. According to the spokesperson, the director breathed her last at her Mumbai residence due to age-related illness.
Her mortal remains will be taken from her Andheri residence in the afternoon to the Oshiwara crematorium, where her last rites will be performed between 4-4:30 PM today. Madhura and Pandit Jasraj are survived by two children, music director Shaarang Dev Pandit and TV personality Durga Jasraj.
Madhura was known for writing several books. Her best books include V Shantaram: The Man Who Changed Indian Cinema and Shantarama.
