Exclusive: Tahira Kashyap talks about breaking out of Ayushmanns shadow

In the latest episode of In the Ring with Filmfare, Tahira Kashyap talks about being identified as Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife rather than being recognized for her own identity.
When asked whether she saw herself as Ayushmann’s wife, she said:
“That’s how I have been reported everywhere. Like I said, now that’s my growth. Now it doesn’t matter if you call me Ayushmann’s wife or someone’s daughter—it doesn’t matter. I am confident in my skills. But when you are referred to like that, you sort of have a moment thinking, ‘This is not who I am; I am much more than this.’ If you see now, they have started calling me Tahira. Otherwise, 2-3 years back, how my name was everywhere was ‘Ayushmann and his wife’s party,’ ‘Ayushmann and his wife on the red carpet.’ They didn’t even write my name.”
