Govindas Wife Sunita Ahuja Breaks Silence On Divorce Rumours

Earlier this week, reports started doing the rounds that actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja are headed for a divorce. Filmfare exclusively reported that the actor and his wife are living in separate homes, but divorce is unlikely.
Now, Sunita has opened up about the same and revealed the reason for living in separate homes. In an interview, she explained, “Alag-alag rehte hain matlab jab unhone politics join kiya tha tab meri beti jawaan ho rahi thi, toh saare karyakarta ghar par aate the. Ab jawaan beti hai, hum hain, hum shorts pehen ke ghar mein ghoomte hain, toh isliye humne saamne office le liya tha. Humko, mujhe aur Govinda ko is duniya mein agar koi alag kar de, kisi ka mai ka laal toh saamne aa jaye.”
This roughly translated to, “We live separately, meaning when he joined politics, my daughter was growing up and all the party workers used to come to our house. Now my daughter is grown, I am here, and we would roam around the house in shorts, so that’s why we decided to get an office nearby. If anyone tries to separate me and Govinda, let that person face me.”
Actor Govinda and Sunita Ahuja had tied the knot in a private ceremony on March 11, 1987. They have a daughter Tina and son Yashvardhan. On numerous occasions Sunita has said that no one can separate her from her actor-husband and that they’ll be together forever.
Meanwhile, our sources also informed us that there is trouble in their marriage, but the differences will eventually sort out. They said, “She’s moved into the house next to their bungalow. But there won’t be any divorce. They will patch up.”
We’ll be hoping that the Govinda household sorts out their temporary phase soon and all ends well.
