Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is hitting theatres on February 14, 2025. Directed by Michael Morris and based on Helen Fielding’s bestseller, the film sees Renée Zellweger return as Bridget alongside Hugh Grant as Daniel Cleaver and Colin Firth as the late Mark Darcy. There’s also a fresh face in Leo Woodall, who plays Roxster, a charming new character in Bridget’s world.

The story picks up four years after Bridget’s husband’s tragic passing. Now a single mother raising her kids Billy and Mabel, she’s juggling work, parenting, and the pressures of school life. Just as things get overwhelming, Daniel Cleaver re-enters her life, bringing unexpected humour and warmth. Their playful bond adds a spark to Bridget’s journey as she cautiously considers love again.

Hugh Grant, thrilled to reprise his role as Cleaver, shared his excitement, saying, “Cleaver is a joy to play—mischievous and wrong, a dinosaur in today’s world. If you’re not having fun, you shouldn’t be doing it.” He added that the latest script is “the best of the four” and deeply personal to Helen Fielding

The film promises to deliver a heartfelt story of love, resilience, and second chances, all wrapped in Bridget’s trademark charm and wit.
