James Gunnâs Superman teaser trailer unveils new Man of Steel and Krypto

The eagerly awaited teaser trailer for James Gunn’s Superman movie is out. The film features David Corenswet as DC’s new Man of Steel after Henry Cavill’s exit. He is joined by Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult and others.

The teaser trailer for Superman opens on quite a sombre note as David Corenswet’s Superman is introduced, falling from the sky at a snow-clad location and blood coming out of his mouth. We get a glimpse of his life as journalist Clark Kent at the Daily Planet alongside Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane. The highlight of the clip, however, is Krypto.

The teaser trailer also offers us a closer look at Isabela Merced’s Hawk Girl and Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor. While all the action teased in the clip is pretty bleak, we do get to see rousing glimpses of Superman saving the day as the Man of Steel remains a beacon of hope.

James Gunn, along with Peter Saffran at DC Studios is expected to bring a fresh take to Superman. The director is best known for his work in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and The Suicide Squad.
