Junglee Pictures makes its Malayalam debut with Ronth (Night Patrol)

Junglee Pictures, in association with Festival Cinemas, is thrilled to unveil the first look and title of its much-awaited Malayalam debut, “Ronth” (Night Patrol), written and directed by National Award-winner Shahi Kabir, starring powerhouse performers Dileesh Pothan and Roshan Mathew, both known for their content-driven, critically acclaimed films.

“Ronth (Night Patrol)” has already sparked immense anticipation among cinephiles. The film follows a gripping narrative as it unfolds over a single night, following two police officers on night patrol as they navigate a series of intense events that reveal both their professional struggles and personal dilemmas.

Written and directed by Shahi Kabir, Ronth has wrapped filming and is now in post-production, aiming for a cinema release this year Known for hard-hitting thrillers like Ela Veezha Poonchira (2022), Joseph (2018), and his directorial Nayattu (2021), for which he won the National Award for Best Screenplay, Shahi masterfully blends raw realism with socially relevant storytelling. His latest film, Officer on Duty, written by Shahi Kabir, is winning hearts and performing strongly at the box office, solidifying his place as a master of grounded, thought-provoking cinema. His next, Ronth (Night Patrol), is definitely one to look out for.

Founded in 2014 as a subsidiary of The Times Group, Junglee Pictures has established itself as a powerhouse in Indian cinema, delivering compelling, diverse, and high-impact stories that resonate both commercially and critically. Produced by Vineet Jain, Ratheesh Ambat, Ranjith EVM, and Jojo Jose and co-produced by Amrita Pandey, the film features a stellar supporting cast, including Sudhi Koppa, Arun Cherukavil, Lakshmi Menon, Krisha Kurup, and Nandanunni.
