Kanguva box office: Suriyas film earns Rs 60 crore

Suriya and Bobby Deol’s Kanguva is having a decent run at the Indian box office. The film became the third-highest Tamil opener this year after GOAT and Vettaiyan. The reincarnation action drama sees Suriya in a double role with Bobby Deol playing his nemesis. It also stars Disha Patani.

On day 6, the Tamil version of the Siva directorial earned Rs 1.33 crore taking the total collection to Rs 33.98 crore. The Hindi version has earned Rs 12.08 crore whereas the Telugu version has earned Rs 13.86 crore. With this, the film has crossed Rs 60 crore in India. Worldwide, the collection stands at Rs 89 crore. The film is facing competition from The Sabarmati Report, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in the Hindi market.

Kanguva has been receiving a lot of praises for its VFX, action scenes and the cast. Suriya plays the titular character, who is a tribal warrior prince and his reincarnation who is a bounty hunter in Goa. The makers hired experts from Hollywood for the technical departments like action and cinematography. Kanguva also stars Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, K. S. Ravikumar, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley and Kovai Sarala among others.
