We have a piece of good news for Marvel fans. The upcoming film Thunderbolts*, which stars a stellar ensemble cast including Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell and Olga Kurylenko among others will be making its way to Indian theatres a whole day ahead of its global release.
Yes, you read that correctly! While the film is scheduled to be released on May 2 worldwide, Indian Marvel fans will get the chance to watch the much-anticipated film a day earlier, on May 1, 2025.
The official trailer of the film was released last month and it set fans buzzing with excitement. The trailer gave us a glimpse into a high-stakes mission where an unlikely group of anti-heroes step into the spotlight. These characters, who have had often conflicting roles in the Marvel Universe, now find themselves coming together to take on a dangerous, common threat.
The trailer opens with Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) telling a jury in a courtroom that the Avengers won’t be returning to protect them, so there is a need for another protective unit. It is then followed by Bucky Barnes trying to convince Yelena, Red Guardian, Ghost and Taskmaster to form a team and fight against their common enemies. As the trailer unfolds, we also get a peek at Marvel’s powerful anti-hero Sentry.
Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts* is expected to be another exciting addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
