Meet your new Femina Miss India 2024 winners

The moment we all were eagerly waiting for has arrived. Femina Miss India 2024 Grand Finale witnessed the crowning of Nikita Porwal from Madhya Pradesh as Femina Miss India World 2024, who will go on to represent India at the Miss World contest. Rekha Pandey from Dadra and Nagar Haveli was crowned Femina Miss India 2024 – 1st Runner-up and Aayushi Dholakia from Gujarat took the title of Femina Miss India 2024 – 2nd Runner-up, on the same night.

After winning the title, Femina Miss India World 2024, Nikita Porwal shared, “The feeling is still inexplicable and I am still getting the jitters that I was getting right before the crowning. It still feels surreal, but looking at the happiness in my parents fills me up with gratitude. The journey is only getting started, and the best is yet to come.”

Bio on Nikita Porwal: Nikita Porwal hails from Ujjain, a city surrounded by captivating stories and mythologies, and her curiosity was ignited at a young age. Her love for the stage blossomed as she immersed herself in theatre, performing in over 60 plays and penning a 250-page play titled “Krishna Leela.” Though stage acting remains her first love, Nikita is also eager to master the art of camerawork. She has already landed a primary role in a feature film showcased at international festivals, which will soon be released in India. Beyond the spotlight, Nikita’s compassion extends to the welfare of animals, a cause close to her heart. She hopes to use her voice to inspire kindness and compassion towards all living beings, making a meaningful difference.

Bio on Rekha Pandey: Hailing from Dadra and Nagar Haveli, now embracing the lively energy of Mumbai. Her journey has been anything but ordinary; growing up, she excelled in dance and sports, finding solace and joy on the stage. Rekha’s early achievements and her love for the performing arts have shaped her into a multifaceted artist, constantly evolving in her craft. Driven by a passion to connect with something greater than herself, Rekha is committed to creating a meaningful impact on society, with a special focus on empowering women in rural India.

Bio on Aayushi Dholakia: a vibrant and ambitious youngster from the cultural heart of Vadodara, Gujarat, embodies a unique blend of dedication, enthusiasm, and optimism. A Media and Communications graduate, Aayushi seamlessly juggles the roles of actress, model, and content creator. In 2019, she made history by becoming the first Asian to win the Miss Teen International title. With a strong foundation in Kathak and a past as a national-level handball player, Aayushi’s talents span a broad spectrum. Guided by the principles of Patience, Persistence, and Perseverance, she actively engages with organisations focused on women’s health, child welfare, and environmental conservation.

With a six-decade-long famed legacy of transforming the lives of young, talented women and changing the landscape of glamour and the fashion industry of India, Femina Miss India 2024 co-powered by Tops & Rajnigandha Pearls, vows to continue its tradition of creating influential beauty ambassadors, supporting young women in their quest to explore their potential, and empowering them to become a positive force for change.

The pageant has been a launchpad for countless women, propelling them to national and international recognition. Many of them have become icons in the glamour and entertainment Industry. Femina Miss India has been an integral part of India’s social fabric, shaping the lives of exceptional women who have significantly contributed to society.

The pageant’s 60th edition launched a nationwide hunt early this year to find the best talents from all corners of the country through on-ground auditions. The extensive scouting drive and subsequent audition rounds culminated with the shortlisting of 30 state winners, who underwent rigorous training and grooming drills in the pageant boot camp facilitated by renowned Industry experts, during which the state winners competed for coveted sub-contest titles and the winners were announced at the Awards Night function, culminating in the grand finale event.

The grand finale ceremony held on October 16 was a star-studded affair and celebrated the ethos of beauty in diversity. The evening kickstarted with a breathtaking fashion sequence introducing the Top 30 state winners in the mesmerising collection by Nikita Mhaisalkar, sharply tailored, high on glamour & finely embroidered, keeping in mind each state winner’s special & unique feature. Adding a touch of tasteful glam to the state winners, were the exquisitely handcrafted gold and polki jewellery from Narayan Jewellers.

A nostalgic and power-packed performance by the Band of Boys succeeded the fashion show. And to calm the nerves of anticipation, comedian Sahil Shah took to the stage for a light-hearted comedy act. To mark and celebrate the 60th anniversary of India’s most iconic beauty pageant, Femina Miss India unveiled the breathtaking three new crowns for the winners, crafted by Narayan Jewellers, on the stage.

The gala event witnessed another round of captivating fashion showcases, featuring the beautiful 30-state winners in a stunning collection by the global fashion phenom Portia & Scarlett and the empowering performance of the 60th Femina Miss India anthem by Queendom. The international designer collection dazzled the audience with its exquisite gowns, crafted from luxurious fabrics in chic, fashionable hues. Seamlessly blending contemporary style with timeless classics, the Portia & Scarlett collection redefined luxury event wear, setting a new standard for elegance. Each stunning ensemble amplified the beauty and poise of the state winners, capturing the essence of sophistication and grace. Illuminating the outfits were the timeless & exquisite diamond jewellery from Narayan Jewellers. As the 30 state winners took their place on the stage, Tadu Lunia – Femina Miss India Arunachal Pradesh 2024 was announced as the Times Miss Beauty with a Purpose Award winner and Angelia Marwein – Femina Miss India Meghalaya 2024 was declared winner of the Times Miss Multimedia Award, both received direct entry to the top 15, followed by the announcement of the remaining Top 13.

As the Top 15 left the stage to prepare for the next round, the attendees were treated to the highly anticipated performances by Sangeeta Bijlani, who enthralled the viewers with her act. This was followed by the Q&A round of the Top 15, from which the next Top 7/8 were shortlisted. The state winners interacted with the jury panel and answered their questions with great confidence. As the attendees waited anxiously, the talented duo Raghav Juyal and Gayatri Bhardwaj took over the stage with their grand performance. The grand finale culminated in the coronation ceremony, where the outgoing queens crowned the new winners.

After the crowning of the three winners, five zonal winners were sashed by former Femina Miss India and actor Neha Dhupia. The winners are as mentioned: Femina Miss India Northeast 2024 – Angelia Marwein, Femina Miss India North 2024 – Sifti Sarang, Femina Miss India South 2024 – Malina, Femina Miss India East 2024 – Riya Nandini, and Femina Miss India West 2024 – Arshia Rashid. The talented Sachin Kumbhar, Anusha Dandekar, and Nehal Chudasama were the master of ceremonies. They led the evening’s proceedings with their wits and improvisations, which kept the audience engaged and entertained. The state winners were judged by an elite panel consisting of Ace Designer Nikita Mhaisalkar, the Evergreen beauty queen Sangeeta Bijlani, veteran film director Anees Bazmee, actor and former beauty queen Neha Dhupia, famed dance choreographer Bosco Martis and award-winning director Madhur Bhandarkar.

In attendance were former Femina Miss India & Mr India winners: Ruhii Siingh, Sini Shetty, Rohit Khandelwal, Rohit Rao, Suman Rao, Sushrii Shreya, to name a few.

Miss India Organization and Ketto, a crowdsourcing platform, collaborated to raise INR 45,56,263 to uplift tribal women as part of the Beauty With a Purpose initiative. Femina Miss India Arunachal Pradesh 2024 Tadu Lunia, who raised close to INR 16,00,000, was the highest individual contributor, winning the Times Miss Beauty With a Purpose title. She was sashed on stage by Miss World 2018 2nd Runner-up.
