Must-watch Hollywood series of 2025

2025 has a lot in story for cinephiles and binge watchers. Some of the fan favourite shows such as Stranger Things and Wednesday will be coming back on the screen with their new seasons while there are some fresh series in store. We have curated a list of some of the unmissable Hollywood shows that will be released this year. 


Missing You

Cast: Rosalind Eleazar, Jessica Plummer, Richard Armitage
Release Date: January 1

Directed by Nimer Rashed, Missing You is based on a novel by Harlan Coben and is based on a detective who discovers her missing fiancé on a dating app, after a decade of his disappearance.

Severance

Cast: Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman
Release Date: January 17

Severance follows an employee of a corporation who agrees to a severance program. In that program, his non-work memories are separated from his work memories. It is directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle.

The White Lotus Season 3 

Cast: Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Lalisa Manobal

Release Date: February 16

The third season of the satirical drama will consist of eight episodes and is set in Thailand.

You Season 5

Cast: Penn Badgley, Charlotte Ritchie, Madeline Brewer 

Release date: To be announced

The fifth season of the globally popular series You will be its final season as well. The season will see the end of Joe Goldberg’s story and also introduce his extended family members.

The Last of Us Season 2

Cast: Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabri Kuna, Rutina Wesley

Release date: To be announced

The post-apocalyptic drama The Last of Us is based on the video game franchise developed by Naughty Boy and is set two decades into a pandemic caused by a mass fungal infection. The infected people transform into zombie like creatures. It is scheduled for a release in early 2025.

IT – Welcome to Derry

Cast: Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, Taylour Paige

Release date: To be announced

IT: Welcome to the Derry is based on Stephen King’s novel IT and takes place before the events of the film. It includes the origin story of Pennywise the Clown.

Wednesday Season 2

Cast: Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer

Release date: To be announced

Jenna Ortega will be back as Wednesday Adams in the second season of the gothic series. It will be co-directed by Tim Burton, Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson.

Stranger Things Season 5

Cast: Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Fimm Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, Sadie Sink

Release date: Yet to be announced

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things Season 5 will see Eleven and her friends try and put an end to the Upside Down.
