Oscars 2025: Best Inside Moments From The Awards Ceremony

Oscars 2025 took the internet by storm. Whether the red carpet looks, main awards ceremony or the lovely inside moments, the 97th Oscars seems to have been lit! While Anora won five Oscars, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo opened the ceremony with a beautifully ‘Wicked’ medley. The Academy also paid heartfelt tributes to Quincy Jones, Gene Hackman and more, who passed away in the recent year. Here’s a look at the best moments from this year’s Oscars:

Anora’s big wins

Anora took home five Oscars out of the six nominations they received. The movie won for Best Picture, Actress In A Leading Role (Mikey Madison), Director (Sean Baker), Writing, Original Screenplay (Sean Baker) and Film Editing.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s Wicked medley

The Academy paid tribute to many incredible artists who passed away this year. Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah paid tribute to Quincy Jones. Morgan Freeman paid tribute to two-time Oscar winner Gene Hackman, four days after Hackman was found dead. “This week our community lost a giant, and I lost a dear friend, Gene Hackman,” he said before the Oscars In Memoriam segment. “He received two Oscars and more importantly he won the hearts of film lovers all over the world.”

However, many social media users were upset over Oscars not paying their respects to Michelle Trachtenberg, who passed away February 26, 2025.

Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet

Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet had a beautiful date night at the Oscars. Kylie wore a black cut-out Miu Miu dress while Timothee styled himself in a melted butter yellow suit. They were clicked hugging and embracing each other during the ceremony.

Adam Sandler’s surprise cameo

Adam Sandler made a surprise cameo during Conan O’Brien’s monologue. The two started bantering over Sandler’s chosen ensemble for the awards – gym shorts and a hoodie.

Kieran Culkin’s hilarious Oscars speech

Kieran Culkin opened up about his long-running deal with his wife, Jazz Charton. He said, “A year ago, I said that I wanted a third kid, because she said if I won the award, she would give me the kid. Turns out she said that because she didn’t think I was going to win. Anyway, after the show, we’re walking through a parking lot. She’s holding the Emmy, and she goes, ‘Oh, god, I did say that. I guess I owe you a third kid.’ I turned to her and said, ‘Really, I want four.’ And she turned to me — I swear to god this happened — and said, ‘I will give you four when you win an Oscar.’ I held my hand out, she shook it and I have not brought it up once until just now. You remember that, honey?”

The audience erupted in cheers as Kieran and his wife Jazz exchanged hilarious glances.
