Payal Kapadia Loses Out on Golden Globes Win

The 82nd Golden Globe Awards recently took place where the best of names in the world of movies were acknowleged. Payal Kapadia and her film All We Imagine As Light were nominated in the Best Director and Best Non-English Motion Picture categories. However, neither Payal nor the movie were declared winners.

All We Imagine As Light lost to Emilia Perez in the Best Non-English Motion Picture Category and Kapadia lost to Brady Corbet of The Brutalist in the Best Director category.

While the movie may have missed winning at the Golden Globes this year, it has been receiving acknowledgment throughout the world. It also became the first film from India to win the Grand Prix trophy at the Cannes Film Festival last year.

Directed by Payal, All We Imagine As Light stars Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, and Chhaya Kadam in leading roles.
