Prabhas To Work With Prasanth Varma Before Shooting For Kalki 2 Salaar 2?

Prabhas fans are waiting with bated breath for updates on his films Kalki 2 and Salaar 2. However, it now seems that these two films have been delayed as the actor has signed another film.
As per a recent report, the South superstar has signed a new film with Prasanth Varma and is doing a look test for the same. The actor is likely to begin shooting soon for the film. Salaar director Prashanth Neel is also busy working on another project, which has added to the delay in shooting the second part of the film. It will now reportedly go on floors in late 2026.
Earlier it was reported that Kalki 2’s shooting has been delayed because Deepika Padukone gave birth to her daughter and is busy with parenting duties. However, the makers are yet to comment on the same. Kalki 2898 AD starred Prabhas along with Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and others. It was released last year in June.
The film earned approximately Rs 1000 crore at the box office worldwide and was later released on OTT.
Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, on the other hand, was set in a fictional city-state of Khansaar where monarchy still existed. It explored the friendship between Deva, the exiled prince of Khansaar and Varadha, the current prince of Khansaar. The latter takes Deva’s help when a coup is planned. It became the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2023 and the third highest-grossing Telugu film of all time.
It also starred Prithviraj Sukumaran in a key role. Meanwhile, the film is all set to return to theatres on March 21, 2025. Currently, the star is gearing up for the release of the film Kannappa, where he plays a cameo role. The actor will also be seen in a film tentatively titled Fauji, The Raja Saab and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit.
