Priyadarshan confirms Hera Pheri 3 talks about returning to the franchise

Filmmaker Priyadarshan was the one who celebrated his birthday recently, but it was his fans who received the gift. He announced that he would be returning to the Hera Pheri franchise with the third instalment of the film. He directed Hera Pheri but the second part Phir Hera Pheri was taken over by Neeraj Vora.
The filmmaker made the announcement through a social media post. He reposted Akshay Kumar’s birthday wish for him where the actor thanked the filmmaker for being his mentor. Sharing it, Priyadarshan wrote, “Thank you so much for your wishes Akshay . In return I would like to give you a gift , Iām willing to do Hera Pheri 3 , Are you ready”, and tagged the trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal.

Seeing this, Akshay Kumar had the same reaction as any other Bollywood fan. He shared a gif from his film Welcome where his character Rajiv can be seen saying “Miracle! Miracle!”. Meanwhile, the filmmaker spoke about returning to the franchise in an interview and said that despite saying that he would not return to the franchise, he changed his decision because the pressure to return became too much.
