Renowned playback singer Kalpana Raghavendar attempts suicide

Popular playback singer, Kalpana Raghavendar, is currently on ventilator support at a private hospital in Hyderabad, after attempting suicide. After receiving the unfortunate news, many singers, including Srikrishna, Sunitha, Geetha Madhuri, and Karunya, visited the hospital to check on her condition and inquired with doctors about her health status.
Kalpana is from Nizampet, Hyderabad. She is the daughter of well-known playback singer T.S. Raghavendra. She rose to fame after winning the title in Star Singer Malayalam in 2010. She has recorded more than 1,500 songs in multiple languages. She has also performed in more than 3,000 shows. Not only that, she has also made an appearance in the movie titled Punnagai Mannan, alongside Kamal Haasan. She also appeared in Jr NTR hosted Bigg Boss Telugu Season 1. Some of her recent projects include Kodi Parakura Kaalam from A.R. Rahman’s Maamannan and Telangana Tejam from Keshava Chandra Ramavath. She has also been a judge on several singing reality shows.
After observing her, doctors have notified that she is currently “out of danger.” Her condition has also been reported to be stable. However, police officials from KPHB Police Station are waiting for her to regain consciousness and kickstart their investigation. We hope for her speedy recovery.
