Rishabh Shetty talks about cinema Kantara and more

Rana Daggubati’s latest talk show, The Rana Daggubati Show on Prime Video, continues to feature Indian cinema’s biggest names. This week’s episode brings Rishabh Shetty, the visionary behind Kantara, alongside actress Neha Shetty, for an engaging conversation. The duo visits Rishabh’s hometown, Keradi, where he shares his dream of transforming it into a cinematic hub, calling it Keradi Film City after the success of Kantara.               

Rishabh reflects on Kantara’s origins, revealing how the film was deeply rooted in his community. Over 700 villagers contributed to the project, making it a collective effort that redefined their perception of cinema. “This region wasn’t huge on films, but Kantara made them see their own on screen,” he said, highlighting the relatability and love the film received. 

During the episode, Rishabh shares his admiration for directors like Sandeep Reddy Vanga and expresses a desire to work on Vanga’s future projects. In a heartfelt segment, his wife Pragathi Shetty recalls their first meeting, which blossomed into love after her admiration for his journey inspired him to reach out on social media.
