Shakira rushed to hospital postpones Peru concert over health issue

Pop singer Shakira was hospitalised due to an abdominal issue. Her concert in Peru which is a part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour has been postponed.

Shakira took to her social media handle to announce the unfortunate news. Sharing that she had to visit the emergency room on Saturday night, she wrote, “I am sorry to inform you all that last night I had to go to the ER for an abdominal issue and am currently hospitalised.”

The Hips Don’t Lie singer is getting medical treatment and assured fans that she will return to the stage soon. She also assured fans that her team is working with the tour organisers and promoters to reschedule the Peru concert. “I love you all, and I appreciate your understanding,” she wrote. 

Shakira started her concert tour on February 11 in Rio de Janeiro. The South American leg of her tour will go on till March 8 before she travels to Mexico. The singer’s health concern comes amidst a recent controversy with some accusing her of copying Beyonce’s Renaissance tour.
