Boman Irani’s directorial debut, The Mehta Boys, starring Avinash Tiwary, Puja Sarup and Shreya Chaudhry has released on an OTT platform. During an exclusive interview with Filmfare, the cast opened up on the filming, including the workshops they had before taking up their roles. Moreover, Shreya Chaudhry spoke about her scenes with Boman Irani and how the director helped bring her character Zara to life.
She further added, “Boman sir told me that to be empowered, you don’t have to be necessarily aggressive. You can be gentle and be empowering.”
Speaking further, Boman Irani spoke about bringing a father-son story to the screens without any glorification. “I think that there are some beautiful father-son stories made. I wanted to touch upon the aspect of two guys who aren’t being really mean to each other but are messing it up every time even when they are trying to be nice to each other. That’s the cornerstone of all miscommunication. I just wanted to play on that factor of miscommunication. You make an attempt, you set something in and something else goes downhill. It has got to do with the male ego. You see the male ego grazing its ugly head in every scene,” he added.
