VIRAL VIDEO: Bengaluru cop stops Ed Sheeran mid performance

A video has been doing rounds on social media after a Bengaluru cop stopped Ed Sheeran mid performance in Church Street. The video shows that the cop unplugs his guitar and asks the singer to leave. A surprised crowd of fans watch, as some try to diffuse the tension.

According to the cop, Ed Sheeran’s impromptu jamming session was halted due to absence of official permission for such a gathering. The Bengaluru police also clarified that they hold immense respect for artistes, but prior authorisation is required for large gatherings to ensure order and safety.
