Will season 5 be the end of Stranger Things?

The fifth season of Stranger Things is currently in post-production. The makers are gearing up to release the upcoming season on November 27, 2025. Amidst all the buzz about the new season, fans have been speculating about this being the end to the show. The makers seem to have confirmed the same.

The Duffer Brothers have reportedly confirmed that Stranger Things will conclude with season 5. While speaking to the audience, Matt Duffer said, “This story, these characters’ stories – that’s done.”

They also cleared the air around speculations of future spin-offs with major characters. Noting that the “whole story is coming to an end,” the duo is beginning to craft newer stories with new characters.

The makers also confirmed that the fifth season is the most ambitious, with filming spanning over a year.
