The trailer of Ziddi Girls was unveiled today and it is a perfect blend of nostalgia and modern-day charm. The show stars an exceptional cast of newcomers including Atiya Tara Nayak, Umang Bhadana, Zaina Ali, Deeya Damini and Anupriya Caroli alongside acclaimed actors Simran, Nandita Das, Nandish Singh Sandhu, Lillete Dubey and Revathy.
The trailer transports viewers straight into the halls of Matilda House College, better known as MH, where tradition runs deep but change is inevitable. A bold new generation arrives, ready to challenge authority, break barriers, and fight for their future. As ambition collides with resistance, tensions ignite, turning the campus into a battleground of ideologies.
Director Shonali Bose said, “Ziddi Girls is not just another college drama—it’s a raw, unfiltered portrayal of what it means to be a young woman today. Each character is intricately crafted, their journeys so layered that they feel like people we’ve all known or been at some point in our lives. The way these girls evolve—navigating friendships, ambitions, and personal struggles—feels deeply authentic and universal. And bringing them to life is an ensemble cast that delivers nothing short of brilliance, making every triumph, heartbreak, and rebellion feel real. We’re excited to share this story with audiences, confident that they will connect with it when it premieres on Prime Video, a platform that shares our vision of telling stories that are as entertaining as they are meaningful.”
Writers and Directors, Neha Veena Sharma and Vasant Nath, said, “As writers and directors, we did extensive research while digging deep into our own college experiences so that Ziddi Girls would feel authentic, relevant and deeply relatable. College is where our identity gets shaped – a world brimming with possibility: friendships are fierce, dreams big, influences strong. Each character in Ziddi Girls brings their own fire to the narrative, making the series an exhilarating mix of heart, humour, and the spirit of rebellion. Working with a phenomenal cast-both seasoned and emerging-has been amazing, as they brought the characters alive in ways we could not have imagined. Collaborating with Shonali only elevated the storytelling. Making this amazing show alongside Ishita and Rangita has been incredible and we’re so grateful to Prime Video to have been our supportive partner all the way. We can’t wait for audiences to dive into this spirited and thought-provoking world when the series premieres worldwide on February 27.”
